IntroDuction to Microneedling

About the Course:

Intro to Microneedling is an in-depth, science-based training designed for licensed estheticians who want to confidently and safely incorporate microneedling into their service offerings. This course goes far beyond the basics, focusing on proper technique, skin physiology, ingredient selection, and ethical protocols to achieve effective skin rejuvenation while protecting the integrity of the skin.

This training is ideal for professionals who may be newer to microneedling but want a thorough understanding of how and why microneedling works (not just how to perform it). Emphasis is placed on safety, intention, and results-driven treatments rooted in education rather than trends.

What you’ll learn:

• Skin anatomy and wound-healing physiology, including how microneedling stimulates collagen and cellular renewal

• Proper needle depth for different treatment goals and areas of the face and body

• The difference between traditional microneedling and microchanneling, and when each is appropriate

• Ingredient education: what should and should not be used when microneedling the skin, including actives, growth factors, PRP, and stem cell–based products

• Understanding inflammation: what a healthy inflammatory response looks like versus signs of over-treatment

• Safe and ethical use of PRP and stem cell therapies, including scope, protocols, and contraindications

• Appropriate protocols for skin rejuvenation, and common practices that should be avoided

• Technique, pressure control, and patterning to ensure consistent results while minimizing trauma

• Client selection, contraindications, and consultation best practices

• Pre and post-care guidelines to support optimal healing and results

• Expected healing timelines and how to properly educate clients on what to expect after treatment

• How to achieve visible, effective skin rejuvenation while maintaining long-term skin health and barrier function

⸻

Included with your enrollment:

A professional-grade microneedling pen is included with enrollment to support safe, effective treatments both during training and beyond. This essential tool aligns with the protocols taught in class, allowing students to practice with confidence and begin offering microneedling services immediately after certification. Product and supply selection will be covered in training so you can confidently choose what best fits your studio and clients.

Students will also receive in-depth instruction, live demonstration, and expert guidance rooted in real-world experience. Students will Aldo get the chance to work on their own model. By the end of this course, you will understand proper technique, ingredient safety, and protocol selection, not just how to perform microneedling, but how to do so responsibly and effectively.

Intro to Microneedling is ideal for licensed estheticians or cosmetologists who want more than surface-level training. Whether you’re adding microneedling to your service menu for the first time or refining your existing approach, this course equips you with the education, essential tools, and confidence needed to deliver results-driven skin rejuvenation treatments with professionalism and care.
